Present Welcome to our site. It is a pleasure to introduce our research group. The research made in UERGS (University of State of Rio Grande do Sul) aims to promote technological development and high quality teaching. In January, 2003, the professors João Carlos Gluz , Roberto Ribeiro Baldino and Tânia Cristina Baptista Cabral , memberships of the Digital System Engineering Course, created the multidisciplinary research group named GrITEE – Research Group in Technology Innovations for Engineering Education. The GriTEE's team is constituted by teachers and students from three UERGS' courses from three different cities in Rio Grande do Sul – Guaíba, Novo Hamburgo e Caxias) and from USP (University of São Paulo) in SP. We hope to contribute to enlarge the field of the educational experiences in engineering, including the development of intelligent technological environments of e-learning. Our goal is to work from the situation to the situated knowledge. The group believes that the technology will make possible the development of new applications for engineering courses and create new visualizations for old concepts and their presentations. The GrITEE's team aims to produce theoretical and practical knowledge that can boost the organization of new techniques and methodologies as well as to implement present and distance education in three UERGS' engineering courses: Digital System Engineering Course (city of Guaíba), Bioprocess and Biotecnology Engineering Course (cities of Caxias do Sul and Novo Hamburgo) and Energy Engineering Course (city of Novo Hamburgo). GrITEE appears in the CNPq's records in the web: http://lattes.cnpq.br/buscaoperacional/
